ABOUT

I am a Tokyo-based artist exploring Japanese folklore, prayer, transformation, and the boundary between the sacred and the everyday.

Using wooden panels, washi paper, pigments, acrylic paint, gold detailing, and silkscreen, I reinterpret figures such as oni and dragons through a contemporary visual language. My recurring character, Oniko, is not simply a figure of fear, but a guardian presence connected to protection, femininity, and boundaries.

I studied at Musashino Art University and later lived and worked in New York. My practice brings together detailed illustration, mixed media, printmaking, and installation, combining graphic clarity with tactile surfaces and traditional Japanese materials.

Through ONI CIRCLE PRESS, I create original artworks, prints, and experimental projects rooted in Japanese visual culture.
